Developed by HoYoverse (previously miHoYo), Genshin Impact is an open-world role-playing game with anime-style graphics. The game includes a variety of playable characters, and each one brings something a little different.
There are a plethora of things to discover and explore in Genshin Impact. These include exploring the major cities, playing the main quest, completing side quests, treasure hunting, etc.
Without further ado, here are 10 things to know about Genshin Impact you probably didn't know about!
Progress in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact allows players to progress using different devices. Cross-progression is available in Genshin Impact since it supports multi-platform gaming. If players use Android, iOS, and PC, it is possible for players to move their character and all of the progress players have made to one of the other platforms.
Unfortunately, if players use PlayStation, they cannot transfer anything since the PlayStation uses the PSN account to sign into the game and not the player's email linked to their miHoYo account.
Dying as You Fall
Genshin Impact players need to be cautious in their adventures. When starting out, players will get a glider that will help them get around a lot.
However, if not cautious, they will die if players fall far enough. Players will want to use the glider to slow down their fall, since they can and will die from a long fall, as recommended by Polygon.
Finding Bosses in the Adventurer's Handbook
Players will need materials to improve their characters and weapons at some point. These materials only come from certain enemies. Players can utilize their time wisely; a button called "Navigate" can help players get to any boss they need and what rewards they have.
Healing at the Statues of the Seven
Between fights, think about going back to one of the Seven Statues. Players can give Amenoculus and Geoculus to these statues to help their character get stronger. Players' party members will be brought back to life and healed by them when players go to communicate with them.
However, players should keep in mind that they can only heal so much with the statue. The more they use it, the less it can heal. But then again, it replenishes itself pretty quickly.
Bennett's Leap Year Birthday
According to SportsKeeda, Bennett is a particularly unlucky character despite him being one of the best support characters in the game. Bennett's biography includes the fact that he founded "Benny's Adventure Team," yet he is the only member of the group who has remained consistent due to his infamous bad luck.
Bennett's character design has unquestionably been centered on this single concept by MiHoYo. In addition, MiHoYo chose February 29th as his birthday — a day that only occurs once every four years on leap years.
Amenoculus and Geoculus
Players are recommended to track the Amenoculus and Geoculus they find. Amenoculus and Geoculus are two objects that are hidden around Teyvat. They can be located in numerous places just like caves, above cliffs, and more.
It's important to keep track of them as players find them since they need all of them to boost their stamina.
Circular Zone Effects
It has been common practice for players to make extensive use of characters such as Chongyun and Bennett. Both players have the power to create a circular zone that is beneficial to them or the other members of their party.
Contrary to expectations, the zone does not take into consideration elevation. Thus, a player who has created an area but has now descended to a lower elevation will still enjoy the effects of that area as long as they remain within its limits.
Elemental Sight Leads to Seelies
When traveling around Teyvat players will discover a group of blue glowing creatures known as Seelies, which they can interact with. Following them will take the player to a base where they will be able to rest. As soon as players arrive, they will be rewarded with valuable items.
Players can utilize the Elemental Sight to hunt for missing Seelies. The use of Elemental Sight can provide an indication if players have ever come across one of these Seelie bases but have been unable to locate the Seelie who should be there.
Archons' Glowing Hair
In playing Genshin Impact, players will notice that all of the five-star characters in the game have their own set of cutscenes that play when they use their Elemental Burst.
When Venti and Zhongli, the current playable Archons, use their Burst abilities, there is a subtle resemblance between the two of them that is worth noting. Venti and Zhongli both have colored tips to their hair, and the color of their tips reflects the elements that they represent.
Furthermore, whenever either of them uses their Burst, the tips of their hair glow brightly for a brief period of time before returning to their normal state after the Burst animation has finished.
Massive World of Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact has a huge world. According to Android Headline, Teyvat's world comprises seven major cities. However, for the time being, the game only has three major cities available to play in. These include the cities of Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma City. Furthermore, additional city adventures will be added in future major content updates. Players can also find numerous small settlements scattered in these major cities, as well as throughout the landscape's surroundings.
Inazuma is the newest major city to be added to the game and is inspired by the architecture and design of Japan.
