But this time, the big boss of Tesla hints that the arrival of the Steam integration to its all-electric vehicles is likely inching closer, as per a news story by The Verge.

The Tesla chief executive made the revelation in response to another tweet, which boasts that the EVs of the Musk-owned automaker are like "gaming consoles."

According to a recent report by Game Rant, the Twitter account that goes by the name Tesla Owners Silicon Valley shared a short clip showcasing how the Model X allows its owners to play in-car games.

The video shows the driver of the electric car playing games like 2048 and Beach Buggy while the Model X is supercharging its battery.

To spice up the overall gaming experience, the Twitter video added a Sony PlayStation 4 DualShock controller while playing the run and gun shooter title, Cuphead.

The ultra-rich billionaire, Musk, responded to the tweet about playing games on Tesla, wherein he disclosed that the integration of the PC storefront, Steam, to Tesla vehicles is already "making progress."

The Verge reports that the renowned EV maker currently offers a few games via its Tesla Arcade service, bringing titles like Sonic the Hedgehog 1.

However, the integration of Steam into the vehicles of Tesla is expected to significantly bump up the number of available in-car gaming titles.

But for now, it is still unclear how far the integration goes, whether Tesla will be skipping on some titles, or if EV owners could also purchase games straight from their dashboard.

Steam on Tesla Coming Next Month?

The Tesla founder also adds in his tweet that the "demo" of the Steam integration might get the shimmer of the spotlight "probably next month."

Musk failed to explain what its "demo" could offer. But Game Rant guessed that it might mean that a version of Steam that could not play games is coming our way. Or better yet, it could be some sort of "beta," wherein a select number of folks could start enjoying it.
