Here's What to Expect with Genshin Impact's Sumeru Update

Genshin Impact released another eraser video for its fans, this time, another Sumeru update.

The HoYoverse game continuously updates its fans on what is to come next in the game, another world to be explored with new adventures and battles.

Genshin Impact took to Twitter to announce the new teaser and captioned, "#Sumeru City is nestled among the rainforest, surrounded by ancient trees and rivers." "Head westward, and you will step into the realm of dust and sand."

The teaser introduced the two major areas of the new land of Sumeru, the rainforest and the desert.

Genshin Impact's Sumeru Update

Genshin Impact is opening a new world for its players to explore in the game. This new world has been teased for quite some time now, releasing numerous updates on what it looks like and the characters that will tag along in that world.

That new world will be the land of Sumeru, a new city that will be unveiled to the players with the Genshin Impact 3.0 update.

The newly uploaded teaser video for the game is titled, Sumeru Preview Teaser 02: Of Rain and Sand | Genshin Impact.

The teaser video featured the designers and developers behind the Sumeru update.

According to The Verge, Sumeru is rather different from the major versions that have been seen in the game's past. It is divided into two large parts, the rainforest and the desert.

The mountains and rocks of Sumeru are more in accordance with the tropical and humid region than the powerful and arid surroundings of the pillars of Liyue and Inazuma.

The Genshin Impact team used extensive research on a variety of regional plants as a guide toward creating both worlds. Both of Sumeru's regions are supportive of visual variation and are intended to have a good mix of realism, fantasy, and ecoticism.

The design team claimed that, among other tropical attributes, they wanted to capture vividness, liveliness, and humidity.

The desert has storms, oases, and water-dependent plants. It has sacred ruins with historical components as well as rocks that have been worn by wind and sand.

Furthermore, as players enter the fantasy forest in the rainforest, they will discover a city that is perched on a huge tree and blessed by the Dendro Archon.

The spirits that the players meet will aid them in exploring various uncharted territories and in solving a number of crises that are buried deep within the forest.

Sumeru's rainforest region includes year-round rain, massive trees all around, and unique biological zones created by large, glowing plants in the shape of umbrellas.

Players will also discover the wreckage of a massive robot lying between the cliffs of a mountain in another forest.

Genshin Impact 3.0

The Genshin Impact 3.0 update has yet to have an official release date. However, as reported by Polygon, after the recent release of Genshin Impact Version 2.8, also known as Summer Fantasia, it is anticipated that the next update will be Genshin Impact Version 3.0.

Genshin Impact Version 3.0 is expected to be the next update following the release of Genshin Impact Version 2.8, Summer Fantasia.

The new nation of Sumeru in Version 3.0 is stated to be located west of Liyue. Another expected addition in the next version will be the Dendro element.

As described by Polygon, "For those who are familiar with the elemental matchups seen in most RPGs, Dendro is the equivalent of grass-type powers in the Genshin Impact system."

The team responsible for the game's creation referred to Dendro as the "last piece in Genshin Impact's element system."

The upcoming update will also include the introduction of a large number of new playable characters.

The introduction of these additional characters into the game should cause both the action and exploration techniques to be significantly altered.
