HoYoverse Reveals Its Lineup for Gamescom2022 — Here’s What You Need To Know

HoYoverse is coming to Gamescom 2022, and it's bringing an experience to look forward to.

The company that brought the world Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd has recently announced its lineup for the upcoming Gamescom 2022, which will be held at the Koelnmesse of Cologne, Germany, in late August.

Interestingly, this year's Gamescom will be HoYoverse's debut in the event, per Games Industry.

HoYoverse Gamescom 2022 Lineup Details

HoYoverse mentioned in its announcement its lineup for Gamescom 2022 will consist of performances and activities inspired by two of its more recent games, per Game Press.

To celebrate its debut at Gamescom, HoYoverse will be providing fans with various live stage performances, interactive challenges, merchandise sales, and hands-on experiences based on Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact.

These performances and activities can be enjoyed in a 275-square-meter booth in Hall 8, Booth 11.

Activities and performances based on Genshin Impact feature special performances brought by cosplayers and musicians live on-stage and the Grand Final of its online Quiz Competition.

HoYoverse will also be giving the game's fans a chance to try out the game's latest gameplay during the event. However, it isn't clear if the opportunity HoYoverse is offering Gamescom 2022 goers will feature the next region, Sumeru.

In addition to the performances and online Quiz Competition, HoYoverse will also be giving merchandise as rewards when Gamescom goers participate in various games and challenges.

These merchandises range from cute Slime hats, Genshin Impact posters, and character postcards.

As for the activities and performances for Honkai: Star Rail, visitors will have the chance to try out demos of the game and experience a piece of the action themselves.

They can also gain special stickers and redeem gifts through HoYoverse's Sticker Rally. However, only those who can complete the rally can have a chance to win the Lucky Draw.

As with Genshin Impact's gameplay tryout, HoYoverse didn't disclose what rewards lie behind the Lucky Draw.

Other Gamescom 2022 Attendees

Gamescom 2022 will also be attended by other game-developing companies that are either big-time big shots or are about to make their debut in the event.

Aside from HoYoverse, Krafton, known for being the developer and publisher for PUBG, Level Infinite, Tencent's new publishing label, and indie game publisher Humble Games will be making their debut on Gamescom as well.

Meanwhile, AAA game developers Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and 2K games will also be in attendance along with ESL Gaming, Daedalic Entertainment, and Sega Europe.

Warner Bros. Games will also be attending this year's Gamescom, as well as some interesting additions like Xbox, THQ Nordic, Team17, Koch Media, and 505 games, per Digital Trends.

ByteDance's TikTok is also confirmed to be attending the event, promising to bring "a wide range of entertainment, including LIVE stage and streaming pods," per the company's press statement.
