Dead by Daylight players will soon know the untold horrors of Medieval Europe.

Behaviour Interactive has recently revealed the latest chapter in its asymmetric survival horror multiplayer game, Forged in Fog, to the world, which includes a new killer and survivor to play as.

Dead by Daylight's Forged in Fog chapter is set for launch sometime in late November.

Dead By Daylight: Forged In Fog Details

Dead by Daylight's upcoming chapter, Forged in Fog, will come with a killer and survivor based on medieval horror - a theme possibly inspired by its past collaboration with Ubisoft on a limited-time event for the latter's medieval fighting game, For Honor. 

According to Dead by Daylight Creative Director Dave Richard, medieval horror is an unfamiliar theme in the game's universe. As such, he is proud that the team behind the game was able to bring the two concepts to life.

The chapter introduces a new killer going by the title of "The Knight," per Game Press. This new killer, who is also known as Tarhos Kovács in his previous life, according to the official Dead by Daylight Wiki, is a calculating and formidable mercenary captain capable of cutting down anything in his way.

Although The Knight knows how to wield a variety of weapons, he prefers a mighty two-handed greatsword as his weapon of choice. However, he is not alone. The Knight's power, Guardia Compagnia, creates an AI "patrol path" that can be patrolled by one of his three loyal guards: The Carnifex, The Assassin, and The Jailer, per PCGamesN.

These guards bring their own unique talents to the game. However, only one of them can be summoned at a time. While summoned, these guards can patrol, hunt, and chase survivors independently for a finite amount of time or until they wound a survivor.

A savvy survivor could unsummon them by staying alive until their pursuit ends, unhooking a fellow survivor, or grabbing the standard.

The new map that comes with the Forged in Fog chapter is called "The Shattered Square," a remnant of a ravaged village that fell to The Knight and his Guards in life.

The survivor that comes with The Knight is an Italian scholar by the name of Vittorio Toscano, who is in search of old secrets and obscurities.

Although Toscano's abilities have yet to be revealed, Richard said that Toscano has an unfortunate history with The Knight serving as his protector during an expedition.

Richards described Vittorio as a person "obsessed with finding the scret to travelling between planes of existence," and that his appearance displays marks of suffering and hard-earned wisdom.

Dead By Daylight: Forged In Fog Release Date

Behaviour Interactive revealed that Dead by Daylight: Forged In Fog would soon be available come Nov. 22 on all available platforms.

To be specific, the upcoming chapter will be available for download on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Windows Store, PlayStation consoles (PS4 and PS5), Xbox consoles (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S), and Nintendo Switch.
