Genshin Impact is set on the magical world of Teyvat. For starters, the map is indeed big with lots of expansions going on. HoYoverse released an interactive map, that can guide you. You can take your time in exploring every new environment, maybe you will even discover some hidden treasures.

While exploring you can start studying the elemental reactions such as burning, frozen, overloaded, and more. There are various types of reactions depending on the combined elements that you will use. Understanding this is a crucial knowledge that can help you during combat and solving puzzles.

Complete Quests and Commissions

The game is made of several story quests which involve your interaction with the traveler. Each story quests are name after a character's constellations. Likewise, Archon quests are also important as it revolves around the game's main story.

On the other hand, you must not forget to do your daily commissions as offered in the Adventure's Guild. Like quests, this will also grant you rewards, give Adventure Rank experience, and a chance to unlock new features and regions.

Enhance Artifacts, Weapons, and Adventure Rank

These factors will serve as your character's performance in the game. You can improve your existing artifacts and weapons using various materials. Just make sure that you have the needed materials to boost their stats.

Similarly, you should give focus on increasing your Adventure Rank (AR), the higher your AR the more features and regions you can unlock. You don't have to worry though, as AR can be boosted by completing quests, challenges, and exploring the map.

Participate in Events
