Apple Preps for Next iPad Launch

The next-generation iPad release has been the center of rumors for the past month. Previously, it was reported that Apple could announce the device before March ended with a delivery target within April.

A new report from Bloomberg revealed that Apple is already preparing for an iPad launch in May. The report also showed that customers must prepare for increased device price points due to some hardware improvements.

The latest 11-inch iPad Pro currently starts at $799 while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $1,099. These prices are expected to go even higher as the OLED panels and the M3 chips will be added to the new devices.

Apple Promises to Fix iPad Lineup in 2024

Over the years, several iPad generations have been introduced to consumers. At first, the differences between the two versions were noticeable and easier to compare. However, new generations have proven to be challenging for some customers when buying.

According to previous reports, Apple is set to reduce the confusion between the iPad variants. For instance, once the 11th generation comes out, the ninth-generation iPads will be phased out, allowing the company to gradually remove older Apple Pencils and accessories.

The May launch is expected to also announce new Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro. The iPadOS beta code was used as hints to predict the next products. The base model iPad and iPad mini are due for an upgrade later this year but only with minor improvements.
