Fortnite Replaces 'Dead Game' Skin With 'Best Game' to Prevent Negative Content

Fortnite has decided to remove the "Dead Skin" skin and swap it with the "Best Game" skin in LEGO Fortnite.

Epic Games did not clarify the reason for the replacement but many players are suggesting that the company is taking precautions on potentially harmful content to young gamers.

LEGO Fortnite 'Best Game' Skin Now Available

LEGO Fortnite is known for having a younger player base compared to other game modes in Fortnite. The company has been keen on tweaking some elements to prevent showing age-appropriate stuff in the game.

For instance, other skins on Fortnite showed different variations from their LEGO Fortnite counterpart. In addition, violent weapons like guns and bullets were removed from the non-Battle Royale version.

The "Dead Game" skin of Veronika is part of the Checkered Past in-game bundle. It was first showcased in the shop in 2022 when a meme of the same title became viral. Veronika's shirt on the LEGO Fortnite version now shows "Best Game."

LEGO Fortnite Bounces Back With 'Star Wars' Collab

Earlier this week, Fortnite unveiled its new crossover event in collaboration with "Star Wars." The special event is spread across various game modes, including LEGO Fortnite.

The new update, which debuted on May 3, will just be in time for the May the Fourth celebration. New missions and in-themed cosmetics and accessories will be released in the shop.

Epic Games has been collaborating with the "Star Wars" franchise to promote various events and characters. Shows like "Ahsoka," "The Mandalorian", and more are often offered to gamers. Characters from the original trilogy were also among the first LEGO Fortnite playable skins.

The game suffered a huge decline after gaining only 55,000 average users for the month of April. After the "Star Wars" announcement, the game mode peaked at 128,000 concurrent players.
