Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact now up for pre-order in the U.S.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is ready to hit commercial availability in the U.S. soon, as the slate is now available for pre-order from the Sony Mobile Store.

Sony officially unveiled its latest Z3 lineup of devices back in September, introducing a number of impressive gadgets with high-end specs and features all around. The Xperia Z3 Tablet compact is currently considered one of the hottest tablets of this year, and interested buyers in the U.S. can now pre-order the device directly from Sony's online store.

With a stylish design, high-end internals and a premium build, the latest Xperia line is bound to raise plenty of interest among consumers. While there are lots of tablet offerings on the market to suit all tastes, budgets, and preferences, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact stands out from the crowd as a premium slate with water-resistant capabilities.

As a reminder, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact sports an 8-inch Triluminos display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels at a pixel density of 283 ppi. Under the hood, the tablet packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, paired with Adreno 330 graphics and a hefty 3GB of RAM. Other specs include up to 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, an 8.1-megapixel main camera, a 2.2-megapixel front shooter, and a large 4,500 mAh battery to keep things up and running.

The tablet further comes with IP65/IP68 rating, which means that it can withstand being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Moreover, gamers will be pleased to know that the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also comes with PS4 Remote Play support.

High-end specs and features, however, usually come with a price to match, and Sony's latest tablet is not exactly cheap.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is now available for pre-order from the Sony Mobile Store for $499.99, and is available in white or black color options. Customers who pre-order now should get the slate on or around Nov. 2.
