Apple's iMac 2016 Challenges Microsof's Surface AIO; Specs, Price And More Revealed

Based off on the latest rumors, the release date of the much-awaited Apple iMac is expected to hit on any day in October 2016. Credible reports and sources have claimed that it might also be launched along with Intel's new Kaby Lake chipset and other innovative specs like a VR support and Thunderbolt 3.

Oct. 27 Release date: Strongly believed but not yet confirmed

Online reports have been recently confirming that the new iMac 2016 will be launched by the end of this month since the earlier iMac version was released in October of last year. As per online reports, Apple is anticipated to fully launch the device at an even on the 27th in San Francisco. But countering to that rumor, there has also been reports swirling that Apple might opt to release the iMac at the WWDC 2017 event, held in June of next year.

But if the former rumor pushes through and the iMac 2016 would be launched by the end of this month, it is reported to be released along with Intel's revolutionary new Kaby Lake chipset, which is a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. Reports have been telling that the new processor will grant the device a totally new outlook with enhanced graphics, making it a strong competitor to Microsoft's Surface AIO.

The Kaby Lake processor will grant the iMac 2016 support for USB 3.1, DisplayPort 1.2 and Thunderbolt 3. There has also been reports about the iMac 2016 also featuring AMD's Zen processor along with Polaris 10 graphics card. With that, The AMD chipset will provide the Apple device with amazing processing power with its eight cores and 16 threads. The Polaris card will also enable an exceptional GPU performance

Moreover, the iMac 2016 is widely-expected to provide the PC users with a much-needed VR support and external flash drives. However, Apple has not made any official statements on the release date or any of its specs nor features. All remains to be seen.
