What Is The Secret Feature Of The 'Nintendo Switch'?

Nintendo Switch fans are willing to pay any price if the console really does launch along with this newly-revealed feature. With the upcoming March 2017 official release date coming up really fast, a new leak has suggested that gaming fans will be able to play Gamecube releases on the Nintendo Switch.

Gamecube is coming to the Switch

That's according to some recently surfaced online reports, which states that Nintendo is currently working on bringing Gamecube versions of games like Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. to the Switch's Virtual Console.

If the report is going to be true, then fans can also be expecting some existing Virtual Console game features to be ported over to the Nintendo Switch. In fact, the report claims that Nintendo is also thinking about introducing an upgrade scheme for users who already own an existing Virtual Console title.

More games to come for the Switch

The lineup of games for the Nintendo Switch is constantly growing as time goes by. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that THQ was also planning to release three additional games for the console. THQ Nordic has recently acquired the rights to the Cursed Mummy and Sphinx, as well as two turn-based strategy games Legend of War and War Leaders: Clash of Nations.

Dark Souls 3 on the Switch?

This is on top of Nintendo Switch ports of Stardew Valley, as well as a rumored Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ release. But what's even more exciting is news that the Dark Souls trilogy might also be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Recent reports have already claimed that Dark Souls 3 is up and running on the console, but will only officially be confirmed if the Nintendo Switch will sell well during launch. In terms of a potential release date, the Dark Souls 3 Nintendo Switch port would likely launch along with Game of the Year editions for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
