Why The 'Xbox Project Scorpio' Might Not Compete Against 'PlayStation 4 Pro'?

There have been a fair number of rumors about the price for the upcoming Xbox Project Scorpio console. Microsoft Xbox Chief Phil Spencer has recently given hints about what the price of the upcoming gaming console would be, and it's pretty stunning, to say the least.

The Xbox Scorpio will be huge

Ever since the official reveal of the upcoming gaming console at E3 conference 2016, Xbox Project Scorpio has been hugely considered as a supercharged gaming hardware. With such a bold description, it has led many Xbox fans and analyst to believe that Microsoft would be pricing the Xbox Project Scorpio at the price range of a premium gaming PC, much like the Alienware gaming products.

Xbox Project Scorpio not a response to Sony's PS4 Pro?

Phil Spencer has been known in the tech industry for fielding interesting questions on Twitter, which was what he was doing for years. He recently teased a message, saying that Microsoft is making some Xbox plans for Xbox customers only, not in response to others.

Spencer didn't specify any names of the rival companies on his tweet. But man people are leaning towards believing that he is referring to rival Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro. Fortunately, Spencer has received some good response from Twitter user @MasyerGaming, where it questioned Spencer whether Microsoft is keeping its promise of a 6 teraflop GPU on the upcoming Xbox project Scorpio.

Things will still go as planned

Most certainly, the Xbox head made a reply, claiming that nothing has changed for Microsoft since the console's announcement and that Microsoft will be sticking to its plans and promises. Xbox Project Scorpio will have the 6 TFLOPs of GPU performance and will enable native 4K console gaming on board, which the PlayStation 4 Pro has had trouble figuring out.

Some specs to look forward to

In addition, Microsoft also made a bold claim that Xbox Project Scorpio will be delivering a new generation of 4K console gaming that we haven't seen before, even with the Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro. Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio is slated for release next year. It is expected to offer a strong combination of AMD Zen CPU and Vega CPU hardware to fully enable native 4K high-performance gaming.
