Google has collaborated up with LG in a Nexus-style partnership to launch the Android Wear 2.0 with a pair of two smartwatches, the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style. It is noted to be unveiled at the beginning of next month.
According to the new leaked images by Evan Blass on Twitter, the LG Watch Style will come in Silver and Rose Gold. Each of the smartwatches will have its unique colored watchstrap. These smart watch straps can be easily removed and swapped out, which the latch on the underside of the straps provides hints that it can be taken apart from its watch cases.
The high-resolution image renders a smaller version of Watch Style unlike the previous leaked snaps of LG Watch Sport back on Jan. 17. This has been the clear image, which has four different angles of the watches. Two got from the front shot and the other two from the back. Each angle showcases a different watch face, which has a fitness-related interface.
According to Phone Radar, the LG Watch Style features a 12.3-inch 360x 360 AMOLED circular display. It is expected to be a Bluetooth smart watch with a premium design powered by a 240 mAh battery. It also has a 512 MB of RAM. This is a smaller model smart watch with the crown button on the outer ring.
The LG Watch Sport is told to have a larger display, greater RAM, premium connectivity and powerful battery, as reported on 9 To 5 Google. It measures at 14.5 mm while Watch Style is 10.8 mm. The Watch Sport offers stand-alone 3G and LTE connectivity and will have an IP68 certification rating, while the Watch Style will feature an IP67 certification rating.
These smartwatches will be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC), which starts on Feb. 27 in Barcelona. The smartwatches are expected to ship with Android Wear 2.0 and extra features added with Android Pay.
