Anticipated Uber Standalone App

The anticipated Uber for Android Wear offers users to request rides, browse bookmarked destinations, check prices and time estimates and see drivers' locations before and during a trip on their smartwatches. The app is 100 percent standalone, which means the user does not need to install a companion app on their smartphone. However, if the wearable device does not have 3G or LTE features, then the user is required to connect it to their smartphones.

According to Android Police, much like the service's app for smartphone, the Uber for Android Wear can find the top destination and simple route straight to home and work. It can even check the driver's progress real-time, as well as the car model and the plate number. It allows users to track their ride while inside the car.

The Android Wear 2.0 version of Uber is now available for download via Google Play Store, as per Android Headlines. It can be installed on the wearable device and can work by itself. It does not require any tethered smartphone to make it work.

Uber is accessible in more than 500 cities worldwide. Uber offers an excellent transportation service, which allows the customer to request via the Uber app. The app uses the current location of the user, so that the driver may know where to pick the consumer up.

The payment can be made via credit card, debit card or cash. Uber also offers Android Pay, PayPal and other electronic funds as a method of payment. After the ride, the Uber passenger can rate the driver and provide feedback to help improve the Uber experience.
