Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, S4 Zoom And S4 Active Will Launch In May 2013

Samsung seems to be very busy these days with the launch of smartphones such as the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Mega and Galaxy Core. Moreover, there are still many smartphones –– like the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active and S4 Zoom –– in the pipeline and a recent report suggests that the trio will make an appearance sooner than expected, this month.

Samsung released the Galaxy S4 in April this year and it seems that the Korean company will launch a few of its variants in the coming weeks.

"We expect Samsung to announce the 3 versions of the Galaxy S4 around the end of May," reports SamMobile.

Galaxy S4 Mini

The Galaxy S4 Mini is the smaller sibling of the Galaxy S4. The successor to the Galaxy S3 Mini will sport a 4.3-inch qHD screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution (256 ppi). The smartphone will tout 8/16/32GB on-board storage options and feature an 8-megapixel primary camera. The device will also packs in a 2-megapixel secondary snapper, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's Touch Wiz Nature UX user interface and a removable battery.

Galaxy S4 Active

Sony launched its flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z, which is IP55/57 certified, meaning that the handset is both dust proof and waterproof. Many users who use their handsets outdoors quite frequently will want to have a dustproof and waterproof phone. In response to the dustproof and waterproof Sony Xperia Z, Samsung is expected to launch a rugged version of the Galaxy S4 called the Galaxy S4 Active, which will still retain the looks of the original Galaxy S4.

Galaxy S4 Zoom

Rumors hint that Sony is preparing for a 20-megapixel camera phone, the Honami, and Nokia preparing for EOS which will have a 41-megapixel camera. To compete with upcoming handsets Samsung expects to launch the Galaxy S4 Zoom which would be the company's first camera phone with a 16-megapixel camera.

It seems that Samsung wants to dominate all segments of the smartphone industry and offer every type of phone which a smartphone buyer wants to buy. If the trio of handsets makes its appearance soon, then Samsung may inch toward becoming the market leader of all the categories in the smartphone space.

Samsung has not confirmed the trio, so we will have to wait until more information is revealed by the company.
