The Probability Of George R.R. Martin Not Finishing 'Game Of Thrones' Revealed

George R.R. Martin, the writer of "A Song of Ice and Fire", is no doubt a busy man. Having contributed immensely to the hit HBO series, "Game of Thrones", and a host of other media projects, he surely has a very tight schedule.

New Film Studio

Because of this, it has taken Martin a longer time finish the rest of the book series. Now, people are speculating that there is a huge possibility that it might not be continued at all, knowing that he is reported to be having his own film studio.

According to Cinema Blend, George R.R. Martin has just launched the Stagecoach Foundation Project. The studio is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is also where Martin currently lives.

It has also been reported that a 30,000 square foot building was charitably given to Martin. This was to be used as a nonprofit office and at the same time as a production facility.

More Responsibilities

This would surely add up to the many responsibilities that Martin is currently engaged in now. It has been well known that this is the main cause why he still hasn't finished the "Song of Ice and Fire" series.

The release of "The Winds of Winter" is continuously being postponed. The events in the TV series, "Game of Thrones", have even surpassed the happenings in the book series. With this alone, it is highly likely that the conclusion of the series would be further postponed or even worse, not get finished.

According to Rolling Stone, this will also give George R.R. Martin more freedom in finishing up his own version of the story in his book series. For now, there is still no official confirmation as to when "The Winds of Winter" will hit the bookshelves.

On the other hand, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere on July 16, 2017, on HBO.
