Season 3 of Star Wars Rebels has drawn to an end, and the production of the fourth season is currently on its way. Season 3 has been a little patchy at times, but it's also show off some of the show's best episodes to date, especially the season finale.
So, what's next for Hera, Kanan, Zeb, Sabine, Ezra, and Chopper? Mastermind Dave Filoni and his writers know for sure, but based on season 3, anything might happen.
Star Wars Rebels Season Villains
Every season so far has had the main villain always looming around and hunting. Season 1 had the Inquisitor. Season 2 had Darth Vader. In Season 3, it's been Grand Admiral Thrawn. Will he return for season 4? Or does his failure mean the Emperor will remove him from this war?
Maybe Filoni and crew will formulate a new villain. Or maybe they'll find some incomprehensible leftover from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and bring him or her to the frontline and that might work.
Star Wars Rebels Season Heroes
As for the forerunners, expect plenty of major expansions moving forward.
Ezra's journey ended season 3 with a sense of maturity. After his shameful defeat as a mission leader in the season opener, a mission allowed him to redeem himself in the finale. Can he grow more as a Jedi student? Kanan's knowledge seems tapped out, so maybe another Jedi in hiding (like Yoda) will form Ezra's training.
Star Wars Rebels: Series Closure
There are still plenty of unanswered plot that needs closure. Season 4 seems like in the right track to reveal Mandalore's new leader, not to mention if Mandalorians will officially join the Rebellion -Sabine might persuade the coming events.
