Dell Unveils AMD Powered Gaming Desktops

AMD is making a killing at Computex 2017 thanks mainly to Dell and its new line-up of desktops. Dell unveiled three new desktops at the event and all of them feature AMD's new Ryzen processors and graphics cards.

The first in the line-up is the Dell Inspiron 24 5000. The 24-inch all-in-one is powered by AMD's seventh-generation quad core A10 processor. It also comes with a Radeon RX560 GPU equipped with 4GB of video memory. Assisting the processor is a RAM of up to 32 GB as well as up to 1TB HDD, and up to 256GB PCle SSD.

The Dell Insipron 27 7000 is the 27-inch version of its new AIO computers. The consumer has a choice between an AMD quad-core Ryzen 5 1400 or the octa-core Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. For the graphics, the options are Radeon RX560 and the Radeon RX580. The former comes with 4GB of video memory while the latter has 8GB. Like the Insipiron 24 5000, the 27 7000 comes with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB HDD, and up to 256GB PCle SSD.

The two new Dell Insipiron desktops sport an almost bezel-less display. The InfinityEdge screen is capable of interplane switching technology (ISP) which is useful in transferring or sharing games and movies from one screen to another. Dell unveiled another all-in-one at CES 2017. The Dell XPS 27 is noted for having ten speakers all in all.

The other AMD-powered desktop Dell unveiled at the Computex 2017 is the company's first-ever Inspiron gaming desktop dubbed the Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop. As Digital Trends reported, the desktop will be powered by five different AMD processors. Buyers can choose among a trio of Ryzen CPUs and a couple of AIO APUs. The Gaming Desktop is also equipped with VR-ready Radeon graphics chips up to RX580 or Nvidia options up to GTX1060. It also comes with up to 32GB DR4 RAM, up to 2TB HDD, and up to 256GB SSD.

According to Tech Radar, the Dell Inspiron 24 5000 will be available for $699 while the base price of the Inspiron 27 7000 is $999. Both AMD-powered desktops will drop in stores starting this month. The Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop, meanwhile, will fetch a starting price of $699 and is now available in stores.
