Gaming fans have a new device they can put their gaming skills to test thanks to Razer. The company has introduced the "impossibly thin" 14-inch Razer Blade, which it claims is the "world's thinnest gaming laptop" which goes up for pre-order from Monday, June 3.
The svelte Razer Blade is ultra-portable and packs in top-end features, making the 14-inch laptop a powerhouse performer that will cater to all your gaming speed needs.
"We've designed and built the thinnest, most powerful 14-inch laptop in the world," notes Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director Min-Liang Tan per the press release. "Thinner than a dime and more powerful than other traditional desktop replacements today, we've created an entirely new category of thin and powerful laptops that is generations ahead of other PCs."
The Razer Blade features a 14-inch LED-backlit HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. It has a chic aluminum chassis and is just 0.66 inches thick, which makes it one of the slimmest notebooks available in the market. The device also has a "custom-made gaming grade trackpad" which offers "multi-touch gesture support."
The laptop weighs 4lbs and powering the device is the new fourth-gen Intel Core processor.
"Incredible innovation is happening across the computing landscape, and the new mobile gaming experience Razer is delivering with the Edge, and now its Blade, is remarkable," says Navin Shenoy, VP and GM of Intel's Mobile Client Platforms. "Powered by a future 4th gen Intel Core processor, people can expect the highest level performance from the Blade for the most discerning gamer."
The Razer Blade also touts the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics processor and will offer a 128GB SSD, but 256GB or 512GB SSD options are available.
"The 14-inch Razer Blade packs a ton of horsepower into a very small chassis," avers Rene Haas, vice president and general manager of notebook GPUs at NVIDIA. "The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPU delivers blazing performance with incredibly efficient power usage to this ultra-portable gaming machine."
The Razer Blade laptop also packs in 8GB of fast 1,600MHz DDR3L memory and "delivers up to six hours of battery life." The device also features Dolby Home theater v4, which provides a "cinematic sound experience."
The Razer Blade will go up for pre-order on Monday, June 3 and will start from $1,799.
