Samsung is expected to show off new Galaxy- and ATIV-branded devices at its upcoming June 20 event in London. The company has seen all of its planned Galaxy S4 smartphones leak weeks before the event, which led Samsung to officially announce the devices well before their anticipated debut date.
However, smartphones aren't the only devices Samsung will be launching under the Galaxy brand on June 20. The company is also expected to announce Galaxy Tab 3 range of tablets at the event, and one of those devices will be the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0.
Techtastic now has posted images and specs of the 8-inch tablet. Samsung will be offering the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 in both a black and white case option. The tablet will feature an 8-inch 1280 x 800 display, will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX, will include 16GB of internal storage, 1.5GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/c/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, GPS, and include a 4450 mAh battery.
The tablet looks almost identical to the current Galaxy Note 8.0, but this tablet will not feature the S-Pen or have the higher-end specs found in the Note. Samsung has also decided to use a white home button on both the black and white model for some reason. The inclusion of 4G LTE in the cellular model seems to indicate that Verizon and AT&T will likely carry this tablet in the U.S.
Samsung is also expected to announce new 10.1-inch and 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablets, a Galaxy NX Camera, and Windows ATIV smartphones, tablets, and laptops at the June 20 event.
