Activision Blizzard asks its players regarding their take on emerging gaming trends, such as non-fungible tokens or NFTs, and cryptocurrencies — to name a few, in a recent survey.
It is interesting to point out that giant gaming firms like Ubisoft have previously joined one of the hottest crazes in town, NFTs.
It comes as play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity took the world by storm as they allowed their players to make money while gaming.
Activision Blizzard Player Survey: Crypto, NFT
As per a news story by NME, the giant gaming firm, which owns massively popular titles like Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, Activision Blizzard, is now asking their players about the latest trends in games.
Some Activision Blizzard players received a survey from YouGov, which NME notes as a research firm known for collecting survey data.
The YouGov survey specifically asks Activision Blizzard players questions asking about gaming trends these days, including play-to-earn gaming. Not to mention that it also asked about their opinion on cryptos and NFTs.
Activision Blizzard Players and Emerging Gaming Trends
A Twitter user that goes by the username OTadaka went on to share a screenshot of the survey, wherein he said that Activision Blizzard is asking about NFTs and cryptos.
The screenshot disclosed that the YouGov survey asks participants of the survey regarding their interests in "emerging/future trends in gaming."
The questionnaire includes various gaming trends, including cloud gaming, play-to-earn, and game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass.
It also listed other gaming techs, such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and, of course, NFTs.

Activision Blizzard and NFTs
Meanwhile, another tweet from @Oakshardic revealed that the survey ends redirecting players to the Battle.net Shop, which is the gaming marketplace of Activision Blizzard.
NME suggests that it could hint that Activision Blizzard is planning to push its first rodeo on the emerging world of NFTs.
However, according to a recent report by Games Radar, the president of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Ybarra, himself dispelled any plans to dip into the world of play-to-earn games and NFTs.
In fact, the Blizzard boss responded to a report regarding the survey by saying that "no one is doing NFTs."
The tweet came from the official Twitter account of the Blizzard lead, Ybarra, himself, making it clear that the gaming firm is not developing any NFT integration for its games.
As such, it is still unclear as to why Activision Blizzard is asking its players regarding gaming trends like NFTs.
