Nokia Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch display specs leak

Nokia shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to releasing new Lumia smartphones. The company is teasing it has "something big" to announce on July 23 and it looks like it will be the 4.7-inch Lumia 625.

Nokia just announced its 41-megapixel Lumia 1020 smartphone and the company posted a message on its Nokia Conversations blog teasing that it has a big announcement set for July 23. It appears that the big announcement will be the company's Lumia 625 smartphone. It will be the largest display the company has shipped in a Lumia handset, with a 4.7-inch display. The official specs of the handset have just leaked.

The Lumia 625 will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch 800 x 480 IPS (in-plane switching) 2.25D curved Gorilla Glass 2 display, runs Windows Phone 8 with Nokia Lumia Amber update, powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, includes 8GB of internal storage and 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second, a VGA (480P) front facing camera, there will be an LTE variant with 4G LTE radio and one without, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE, A-GPS and Glonass, and a 2,000 mAh battery. Its dimensions are 133.25 x 72.25 x 9.15 mm and weighs 159 grams.

Nokia will be including its Cinemagraph, Panaorama, Smart Camera, Nokia Glam me, and Smart Camera software built-in for use with the 5-megapixel camera. It will also pre-install Here Drive Beta for turn-by-turn directions, Here Maps, Here Transit, and Nokia Music.

It's interesting that the Lumia 625 shares virtually the same specs as the company's entry-level Lumia 520 smartphone. The main differences being its 4.7-inch screen compared to the 4-inch display found on the Lumia 520. This will reportedly allow the company to sell the smartphone for around $325 unlocked.

The Lumia 625 is rumored to be making its way to U.S. carriers in the form of a pre-paid smartphone, just like the Lumia 521 on T-Mobile and the just announced Lumia 520 on AT&T. We'll have to wait until July 23 to hear the full details and which carriers will offer the 4.7-inch smartphone.
