Second-gen Nexus 7 now listed on Best Buy, to come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Google is expected to take the wraps off its new Nexus 7 tablet in a few hours, but Best Buy apparently stole its thunder.

Just hours ahead of the big announcement, Google's party has been spoilt by Best Buy, as the retailer has listed the second-gen ASUS-made Nexus 7 tablet on its online store.

If that wasn't enough, Best Buy also lists the specifications and features of the new Nexus 7 tablet, which reveals that it will (as anticipated) come with the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box (which Google is also expected to announce at its media event).

Best Buy has both the 16GB and 32GB variants of the tablet listed on its online store for $229.99 and $269.99, respectively. This means that Google has not changed the price point of the tablet and sticks to the pricing it had for the first-gen Nexus 7.

Best Buy doesn't mention when exactly it start begin shipping the new Nexus 7 tablet, as it simply says "coming soon." However, we recently reported that a leaked ad from Best Buy revealed that the tablet will hit the shelves on July 30.

The specs of the next-gen Nexus 7 tablet as listed by Best Buy reveal that the tablet will sport a 7-inch LCD HD 10-finger touchscreen display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it will house a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The tablet also packs Adreno 320 graphics for lush images and weighs 318gms and is 7.62 mm thin.

The device will have 2GB of DDR3LM memory and will come in 16GB and 32GB on-board memory options. Moreover, the new Nexus 7 tablet will also see a feature that was notably missing in the older iteration: a rear-facing camera. The tablet will feature a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 1.2-megapixel secondary one.

The new Nexus 7 will also support Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and will come pre-loaded with the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Earlier today, a Reddit user claimed to have already received the tablet and posted two pictures of the device. However, the authenticity of the claim remains circumspect. Additionally, a video showing the second-gen Nexus 7 tablet has also popped up online.
