YouTube TV's new Spanish-language plans bring numerous channels from Spain while replacing some offerings from the base plan.
YouTube TV Spanish-Language Plans
YouTube's streaming television service introduced its new add-on plans which feature various channels in the Spanish language.
The all-new add-on, aptly named Spanish Plus, brings 25 additional Spanish channels to the streaming platform, as per a news story by Android Headlines.
It is worth noting that the current base plan of YouTube TV already includes a few Spanish-language channels, such as Univision, Telemundo, and Universo. But the service is now offering more to its growing Spanish-speaking audience.
YouTube TV Spanish Plus
Apart from the base plan offering, the new Spanish Plus plans of YouTube TV are here to offer more Spain-focused programming with the likes of CNN en Español and ESPN Deportes.
There are also various Spanish-language TV channel selections showcasing news and sports content, as well as the sought-after telenovelas.
According to a recent report by Digital Trends, Spanish Plus also brings Fox Deportes, Nat Geo Mundo, and Sony Cine to YouTube TV.
On top of that, the Spanish YouTube TV add-on offers channels like Cine Latino, Cine Mexicano, WAPA América, and Telenovelas.
That's not all, it also includes Discovery en Español, Baby TV Español, and De Pelicula, among other channels that those who speak Spanish — whether their first language or not — could enjoy.
YouTube TV Spanish Plus: How Much Is It?
The new Spanish Plus add-on of YouTube TV allows its customers to place it on top of their current base plan. But there is also an option to only get Spanish-speaking channels.
The Spanish Plus add-on brings additional 25 channels to the existing base offering of the hit streaming service YouTube, mostly carrying English-language TV programming.
The Spanish YouTube TV add-on retails for $14.99 per month. However, the streaming service is giving away an introductory price to the tune of $9.99 per month for the first six months of subscription. After that, YouTube TV will be charging its users with its original cost.
On the other hand, if you opt to only get Spanish-speaking channels on your YouTube TV plan, the all-Spanish plan sells for $25 per month, at least for the first six months. After the promo price, YouTube TV will start charging $35 every month.
The Spanish channel's only plan for YouTube TV is significantly cheaper than its base plan, which costs $65. However, the former only includes 29 channels meant for the Spanish-speaking folks out there.
Digital Trends said in its report that YouTube TV is one of the biggest streaming platforms in the United States, trailing Hulu Live TV.
