SpaceX’s Starlink Is Now Available To Provide Internet Satellite Services To 32 Countries

SpaceX's Starlink is beginning to be more and more available in different parts of the world.

Today, SpaceX posted a photo on Twitter showing the world map with countries color coded depending on Starlink's availability.

The internet satellite provider updated its mass audience that it will now be available to 32 countries around the world. The tweet stated, "Starlink is now available in 32 countries around the world. People ordering from areas marked "available" will have their Starlink shipped immediately."

In addition to covering more countries, the company also touched on the delivery of the satellite dishes to their customers, saying it will be "shipped immediately."

Starlink in 32 Counties

SpaceX's Starlink satellites have also been unfortunately known for their slow and delayed product shipment. Almost every user on any social media platform, be it Twitter or Reddit, has complained about how long it took for their Starlink dish terminal to arrive.

Seeing how the announcement was made, it should not have shocked users who are familiar with the most common complaint they always get.

Today's announcement, with the assurance that it would be shipped immediately, will definitely be a relief to those who are waiting to get their hands on Starlink.

Late in March, SpaceX released a map showing where the Starlink internet service would be available.

According to The Verge, SpaceX has upgraded the availability of the Starlink map by region, indicating locations where the internet is "available," "waitlist," and "coming soon."

A snapshot of the service's availability map was posted by Starlink on Twitter. The screenshot reveals that the service is "available" in most of Europe and North America, as well as sections of South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

Starlink Satellites

Starlink, the internet satellite of SpaceX, is on a mission to equip the world with a reliable internet connection.

Starlink is SpaceX's capital-intensive project to build an interconnected internet network through the use of thousands of satellites, known as a constellation in the space industry, to deliver high-speed and reliable internet to customers anywhere on the planet.

Since it emerged from beta testing toward the end of 2021, SpaceX has been making steady progress in expanding the Starlink service. As of September 2021, it was providing services to consumers in a dozen different nations, and by February 2022, that number had climbed to 25 countries.

When compared to earlier this year, when SpaceX stated that Starlink was only available in 25 nations, the number of countries that are now supported by Starlink has increased to 32.

As reported by Mashable, prices for Starlink subscriptions have increased since March. The monthly service charge increased from $99 to $110 and the one-time dish fee increased from $499 to $549.

However, despite the significant price increase, SpaceX's Starlink introduced a new feature called "Portability," which enables customers to take their Starlink internet with them wherever they go. This can be useful when traveling. However, consumers will be charged an additional $25 per month for using this service.

A large portion of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy are among the countries in which Starlink is currently available.

Outside of Europe, portions of Australia, Chile, and Brazil are also on the list of countries where Starlink is currently available. Almost the whole continent of South America, as well as sections of Africa and Asia, are now categorized as "coming soon," with availability expected to begin in the first half of 2023.
