An Xbox leak suggests Microsoft is working to bring the "Dynamic Backgrounds Editor" feature to Windows and its gaming consoles, namely the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Xbox Leak
As per a news story by Windows Central, Microsoft appears to be working on its own version of a popular app by Steam, aptly called the Wallpaper Engine, which allows its users to produce their animated backgrounds on Windows.
The latest leak predicts that the new feature will expand the wallpaper customization to Xbox consoles, but it should also work on Windows PCs.
Windows Central noted in its report that Xbox gamers have been consistently clamoring for more customization features on its dashboard. Not to mention that they also want it to be more "streamlined."
It is worth noting that Xbox offers its users an option to somewhat decorate its dashboard with its lists of Dynamic Background themes. But numerous gamers find its design variations to be limited to some extent.
Thankfully, the new Xbox leak claims that the customization issue of its players is seemingly coming to an end soon as Microsoft is reportedly building a new much-awaited feature.

Xbox Dynamic Backgrounds Editor: How it Works
Aggiornamenti dug deeper into the "Unnamed Project," wherein the leaker learned what the secretive project actually brings to the table.
The new app lets users animate their backgrounds or wallpapers using a wide range of custom effects.
If we're going to be more specific, the Unnamed Project also introduces numerous tools for animating and customizing backgrounds either on Windows or Xbox. It also allows users to upload their custom assets to the editor.
The leaker shared a screenshot of the app that Microsoft is working on. The copy on the upper part of the interface reads: Welcome to the Xbox Dynamic Backgrounds Editor.
So, the new app essentially allows Xbox and Windows users to create customized Dynamic Backgrounds themselves.
