Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong has recently drawn first blood on PCs and gaming consoles.

French AA game developer and publisher Nacon recently released its latest entry in the Vampire - The Masquerade series to PCs and gaming consoles (last-gen and next-gen) alike.

The game is available in two versions: the standard edition and the more expensive Primogen edition.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Details

According to Nacon's announcement, the game focuses on the events involving the appearance and activities of a group of mysterious assassins who have attacked the Boston Camarilla, a secret society made up of most of the vampires in the city of Boston.

Players of the game are tasked with the mission of uncovering the identity of the attackers and the motive behind their aggression against the Boston Camarilla. To do so, players will have to infiltrate, investigate and get answers - tasks made easier thanks to the supernatural powers that come with the characters players will control.

Speaking of playable characters, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong lets players control one of three available characters, Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha, with each having their own set of morality and dilemma.

Since the use of supernatural powers is allowed during your mission to uncover the identity of the Boston Camarilla attackers, players will have access to Galeb, Emem, and Leysha's unique skills and disciplines that players can modify depending on your choices.

To help players keep track of the skills of each character, the game provides a character sheet that shows the abilities players can unlock and level up.

During the course of the game, players will be presented with a variety of choices that would have consequences, both immediate and overarching, that can change the game's final outcome, of which there are fifteen different endings for the three main characters and the Boston Camarilla.

Finally, the game features an original soundtrack made by Olivier Derivière, the composer of Techland's Dying Light 2 Stay Human and Ubisoft's DLC to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry.

According to the official Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong website, the game's digital standard edition comes with the base game and the alternate outfit packs. However, the digital standard edition for consoles differs somewhat from its digital counterpart.

The digital standard edition of the game for consoles comes with Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York, a visual novel-style adventure video game set in the Vampire: The Masquerade world which was developed by Draw Distance.

Meanwhile, the physical standard edition comes with the base game, the alternate outfits pack, and a vinyl record containing the game's soundtrack.

The game's digital Primogen edition for consoles comes with the base game, the alternate outfits pack, the Victoria Ash DLC, Cross-Gen, and the Coteries of New York visual novel video game.

On the other hand, the Digital Primogen edition for PC has a small difference from its console counterpart - it has everything the digital Primogen edition has to offer, but instead of having the Coteries of New York visual novel video game, it gives players a separate copy of the game's soundtrack for them to enjoy anywhere, anytime.
