LG just recently unveiled its new projector, the HU915QE.

Finally, the new projector from LG no longer requires a vast amount of space or a sizable room solely devoted to their home theater setup.

This new LG projector has 3,700 ANSI lumens and produces images that are extremely lifelike. LG's HU915QE is an addition to its flagship CineBeam Projector that utilizes a separate light source for each of the primary (RGB) colors.

The new model is able to give more vivid images during the day than standard models that only have one light source because it makes use of the three-channel laser technology that LG has developed.

LG's Newest CineBeam Projector

LG's CineBeam 4K high-end laser projectors are getting a new addition from LG Electronics in the form of the Ultra Short Throw (UST) laser projector in model HU915QE.

LG was one of the companies instrumental in starting the trend of UST laser projectors with the original CineBeam. The company has been publicly known to release great quality projectors.

This projector is the successor to the HU715Q model that was released earlier this year. With the new CineBeam HU915QE, users can now project an image that is 120 inches wide from a distance of just 7 inches away, and it does so with its 3,700 ANSI lumens of brightness feature.

This feature will put the new CinemaBeaml ahead of competitors such as the Optoma CinemaX P2.

The projector's design will be sufficient for good picture quality during the day with the blinds closed.

Some users looking to ditch their TV can do so with this LG projector as it offers a screen size that is significantly larger.

LG HU915QE Projector Specifications

LG's CineBeam HU915QE is reported by Engadget to have a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. This might be true, but users should note that this is subject to change since it also depends on multiple factors such as a room's lighting and size.

A great feature that numerous users would be thrilled with is its 4K HDR video via the three-channel laser, which should eliminate any rainbow effect.

In addition, LG's HU915QE features HDR dynamic tone mapping to change the brightness on a frame-by-frame basis, and it automatically adjusts the brightness based on the lighting conditions in the surrounding environment.

Another feature called "adaptive contrast" is supposed to provide the best possible contrast for each and every scene.

Furthermore, it is expected that the laser will likely be equipped with a TI DLP chip. On the other hand, the company did not mention any Dolby Vision or HDR10+ features, so it is safe to assume that it will be released with the HDR10 effect.

It won't be until the first half of 2022 before the HU915QE CineBeam 4K laser UST projector becomes available, which means it won't be for another roughly 40 days.

It's outfitted with LG's webOS, superior to other intelligent operating systems used by other brands like Optoma.

The Verge also mentioned that users will not need to use a Chromecast or any other device to stream content from Apple TV, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ or Netflix.

Users can directly access it and enjoy streaming it using the projector. The designed texture seen on the exterior of the device, which is made of 45% recycled wool, was provided by Kvadrat, a Danish textile company. LG also promises stylish looks and a product with amazing display features at a rumored price of $6,000.
