As per a news story by CNET, the 15.5 update includes new settings on the Podcasts app and the rebranding of iTunes Pass, as per a news story by CNET.

iOS 15.5 renames what we have known for a couple of years as iTunes Pass. That said, the latest version of the Wallet app ditched the outdated branding, which seemingly goes unnoticed.

Instead, according to a recent report by Apple Insider, the iPhone maker introduced a new Apple Account Card option on the updated Wallet app.

The iTunes Pass allows users to receive and purchase a couple of things, such as all sorts of media, including movies and music. It also supports apps, subscriptions, and Apple products.

While Apple is ditching the old-time iTunes Pass moniker, the all-new Apple Account Card option still does all of what the former readily offers its users.

Essentially, the Cupertino-based tech giant appears to be streamlining its branding on the latest version of the Wallet App.

Although the Apple Account Card is virtually the same as iTunes Pass, it brings something new to the table as it keeps up with the changing times.

Apple Insider notes that the renamed version of iTunes Pass now works with the digital wallet service of the iPhone maker aptly called Apple Pay.

The new support precisely allows its users to tap to pay when purchasing at the Apple Store, thanks to Apple Pay. It goes away from the need for QR codes, which the previous system follows.

Apple Account Card: How To Add on Wallet App

Now that the Wallet app supports the new Apple Account card, here's how to add it to your iPhone.

As per the latest story by Mac Rumors, the Apple Account card needs to carry a balance before attempting to add it to the Wallet app.

  • Open the Wallet app.
  • Then, go to "Available Cards."
  • After which, tap "Add Apple Account."
  • From there, you may now link your Apple Account.

Once the Apple Account Card has been added to the Wallet app, it now lets users purchase new Apple products, as well as music, games, and apps seamlessly.
