Professional gamer Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen became famous and earned praises from fans after he held off from shooting an opponent when he figured out that the rival player had been disconnected.
According to report by Eurogamer, ImperialHal was in a competitive match known as Apex Legend Global Series (ALGS) 2022, a championship with $ 2 million on the line.
He then spotted a player in a distance and after checking him out for a while, ImperialHal then told his TSM teammates: "Dont shoot him. Don't shoot him, bro! He's crashed."
ImperialHal Gains Praises From Fans and Competitors
During the match, ImperialHal insisted that they shouldn't shoot, saying that: "He 100 percent tabbed out or crashed or something. Don't shoot them - it's Scarz".
Both fans and competitors noticed his kindness and good sportsmanship. They praised his decision to held off from shooting the player who was dealing with technical issues.
ImperialHal responded to the praises by saying, "It's the least every player can do out here with these issues."
It still ended well for both TSM and Scarz as the teams managed to qualify for the finals of the championship. This is "despite Scars not being able to get rpr back into the particular match," as per DotEsport report.
TSM also missed out on some easy elimination points by choosing not to shoot but nevertheless, it ended well for the team.
With $2 million prize pool, the ALGS Championship took place on July 7 - 10. It featured the 40 best Apex Legends teams in the world, who competed in-person. Only the top 30 teams of total playoff point directly qualified in the Championship.
Both Scars and TSM almost did not make it to the finals but "strong final games in the losers bracket helped secure their spot."

Who is ImperialHal?
ImperialHal is the leader of TSM, who pulls double duty as both the most successful pro player in the history of Apex and the game's most popular streamer. According to a separate report of DotEsport, he is an embodiment of Apex, being skillful, tactical, loud, and confident.
It had been a while since the TSM had won a big tournament at all but the team is on a mission to remind everyone that they are still good on the game.
In February, during the Split One Playoffs, TSM sent a statement of intent to the rest of the world. According to ImperialHal, from the start, he could feel the win coming.
In the weeks leading to TSM's return to glory, self-doubt was never an issue for ImperialHal, which is unsurprisingly. While there was no absence of confidence, there was an absence of motivation.
"Before playoffs, I just kind of started losing that itch to play competitive anymore. In scrims, people were trolling us and messing with us, like Sentinels. I don't know. Nothing was really going our way. And if playoffs didn't go our way either, I was kind of done with it." ImperialHal said.
His frustration with "scrims and TSM's lack of big wins over the last year" are evidences of his passion for Apex. However, we could not imagine a pro scene without ImperialHal.
Vital to the popularity of the Apex Legends Global Series, is the fanbase that ImperialHal has cultivated.
