YouTube takes down LoFi Girl's two-year-long live stream over a "false" copyright claim, leaving its avid listeners wondering why it suddenly became inaccessible.
No less than the phenomenal YouTuber, aptly named Lofi Girl, is the latest victim of the never-ending false copyright strikes on the Google-owned video-sharing platform.
YouTube Removes LoFi Girl's Two-Years-Long Livestream
The iconic YouTube channel, Lofi Girl, is widely known for providing go-to content for folks looking to relax or get on with their tasks like studying and writing.
In this day and age, wherein social media attempts to capture every second of our attention, focusing without any distraction has been somewhat rare for most.
But thanks to the soothing lofi hits on YouTube, specifically the video entitled "lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to," came to the rescue.
The chill vibes apparently go beyond the tunes alone.
In fact, the video itself leaves a relaxing visual of a girl studying in front of a desk at home while listening to some music over her headphones. Her car also completes the whole mood as it stares out the window.
What makes the said video extra special is that it has been on a non-stop live stream for a long time.
Not to mention that the YouTube channel, Lofi Girl, has emerged as an icon on the video-sharing platform, flaunting nearly 11 million subscribers as of writing.
But despite all that, the iconic lofi hits stream still faced a "false" copyright strike on YouTube, according to a recent report by Mashable.
If we are going to be more precise, the lofi hits video has been running for more than two years already. It also ran an additional four months and 18 days before YouTube ended its stream.

Why is YouTube Lofi Girl's Two-Year-Long Stream Gone?
As per a news story by Polygon, the official Twitter account of Lofi Girl shared that the lofi live stream has been taken down on YouTube over a "false" copyright claim.
The tweet comes with a screenshot of YouTube's copyright strike notice. It says that the video-sharing service had to take down the "lofi hip hop radio" video "due to a copyright takedown notice."
Essentially, the notice further explains that it means that the said video would no longer be accessible to its listeners in the video-sharing service.
And as such, Team YouTube on Twitter was swift to take action, confirming that the "takedown requests were abusive." In turn, the video-sharing platform has already terminated the account of the claimants.
But despite that, YouTube says that it may take around 48 hours before the "lofi hits radio" makes a rightful comeback.
