Just like with the Galaxy S4, Samsung is releasing both an octa-core processor based model and a quad-core model. A new report reveals which region will receive which model.
Samsung is getting ready to launch one of the most important devices in its mobile portfolio. The upcoming Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 are the company's flagship smartphones this year. Samsung created the phablet category when it launched the original Note. A year later, after selling millions of phablets, the company followed up with the Galaxy Note 2. The second-generation Galaxy Note was an even a bigger success and set the standards for what a phablet should be. Unlike previous years, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 3 will be facing some strong competition as both HTC and Sony are releasing their very own HTC One Max and Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablets with their sights set on the Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Note 3 in two flavors, just like it did with the Galaxy S4. The main difference between the two will come in the form of either a Samsung Exynos octa-core processor or a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The most recent rumored specs claim the Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 5.7-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD Super AMOLED display and run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz Nature UX. It will include 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and use Samsung's newly announced 3GB RAM modules. It is expected to use the same 13-megapixel rear camera found in the Galaxy S4 and include a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Samsung is also expected to include enhanced S-Pen features and applications to further differentiate itself from its upcoming rivals.
SamMobile is now claiming that it can reveal the complete list of which markets will receive which Galaxy Note 3 variant. According to the report, the U.S. will receive the quad-core-based Note 3 just as expected, while countries such as Italy, France, and Germany will receive the eight-core Note 3. The UK will receive both variants depending on region.
We'll have to wait until Samsung's Sept. 4 Unpacked event to get the official word from the company but the big event is just around the corner.
