New OnePlus 10T Details Revealed: Changes Made, Exterior Design, and More!

OnePlus 10T has been unveiled publicly, giving users an early look at what is in store for them.

The company's newest flagship device, the OnePlus 10T, will be released on August 3. However, it seems like the company is giving users what they want, slowly revealing the specs of the upcoming device.

Mashable SEA reported that the company sent an invite for the launching of the device at an in-person event that will be held in New York.

The company said that the OnePlus 10T will be the world's fastest Qualcomm mobile platform with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor.

In addition, the device is stated to be launching on Oxygen OS 13, its newest operating system, and mentions that it has the industry-leading charging speed.

OnePlus has made changes to the device that are comparable to the OnePlus Pro, and here are some of the specs pending.

OnePlus 10T Exterior Design

The OnePlus 10T has a few noticeable resemblances to the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, the 10T does not have an alert and mute slider and a Hasselblad branded-camera system.

Hope Liu, chief designer for OnePlus, told The Verge that eliminating the slider was important for the 10T to have sufficient internal room for other components needed for high-wattage charging, a huge battery capacity, and improved antenna signal.

The designer stated that the alert slider is an exterior design that occupies significant space on the motherboard. Yet, it is not the most significant feature on the device. So removing the slider was the compromise with the latest device.

According to Liu, OnePlus incorporated two charging pumps into the 10T, whereas the 80W fast charging-compatible OnePlus 10 Pro only featured a single charging pump.

"To ensure the OnePlus 10T delivers in the areas we know our users value most... while retaining the alert slider, we would have had to stack the device's motherboard, which would have made the device thicker."

OnePlus 10T Camera

The OnePlus 10T lacks the Hasselblad-branded camera system feature.

The camera company Hasselblad has had a partnership with OnePlus since the release of the OnePlus Pro 9.

Hasselblad has added significant camera changes to the company's devices. Some of the things it added are the fine tuning of colors and the 12-bit RAW photographs.

However, when Liu was asked about this, he said that OnePlus made yet another compromise in order to keep the price of the phone within reach while still offering a flagship smartphone with the highest level of performance.

The camera will use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor and support 10-bit color, enhanced HDR photography, and the OnePlus night photography feature.

QT10 Other Specs

The OnePlus 10T will have a display that is 6.7 inches in size. As previously stated, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.

Those are just some of the confirmed features for what is in store for the 10T, although the OnePlus 10T will be launched soon.

In addition, according to Liu, the phone will be offered in a matte black finish and a glossy green finish.

Although the display's resolution and refresh rate have not yet been disclosed, judging from the photographs provided, it looks to be a flat screen rather than one that wraps around the device's bezels.

There are numerous specs that have been confirmed. However, some of it remains speculation and assumptions. Users are going to have to wait until August 3 for the official release.
