"While Starburst is no stranger to encouraging curiosity, wonder and imagination, 'Ask The Universe' is the brand's first mission in space exploration," Martin Terwilliger, marketing director for Mars Wrigley said, as reported by Space.com.

Terwilliger said that the candy company wanted to ensure that their campaign is out-of-this-world. With this, Starburst is partnering with SpaceSpeak in order to bring TikTok videos into space.

Starburst will become the first brand to "beam TikToks into space utilizing their unique technology," as per Space.com.

SpaceSpeak was originally created in 2005. It was made by Peter Beery, a professor and entrepreneur with a doctorate in elementary particle physics.

According to HypeBeast, it is a one-of-a-kind technology emitting radio waves through a low wattage 2-5 GHz transmitter, which is attached to an 18-inch parabolic dish.

SpaceSpeak will beam the messages into space. These messages are in the form of converted TikTok videos. According to Space.com, the "photons that make up the messages" will keep on traveling in space for an indefinite number of years.
