Apple Charges Different Prices for the iPhone 14 Pro Depending on the Market

Apple is selling the iPhone 14 Pro at different prices.

Apple just recently held Far Out, its own launching event where the company introduced its newest products.

During the event, Apple unveiled one of its most-awaited products, one that has been subjected to numerous leaks and rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro.

It appears that the tech company is selling the iPhone 14 Pro differently in most markets. However, the price of the latest iPhone in the U.S. somewhat remains the same compared to that of the iPhone 13 when it came out.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Price Difference

Apple unveiled four new models of their newest mobile devices, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As The Verge reports, how much a customer can pay for the iPhone 14 will depend on where they live.

Numerous tech enthusiasts have somehow anticipated that the next iPhone models will cost more given the economic state of rising inflation and some material shortages that were experienced previously.

However, when Apple officially unveiled the latest iPhone 14 Pro models to the public, it appeared that the devices currently have the same price range as the iPhone 13 models previously.

The base model of the iPhone 14 is priced at $799, the same price that Apple initially charged for the iPhone 13 when it was released a year ago. The iPhone 14 Pro Max's most expensive model starts at $1,099, the same price as the iPhone 13 Pro Max's most expensive model.

One of the biggest surprises was that Apple kept the prices of the iPhone 14 series the same as its predecessors in the United States, despite rumors that the devices would have a higher price tag.

Despite it being unchanged in the U.S., Apple has increased the price of the iPhone 14 models in a number of its most important markets around the world.

Apple's iPhone 14 Price Differences

Apple's iPhone 14 in the UK will now cost £849. Compared to last year, the price of the iPhone 13 was £779. It had a £70 price increase.

According to CNBC, in Japan, the price of the latest iPhone 14 starts at 119,800 Japanese yen. However, the iPhone 13 that was launched beforehand was priced at 98,800 Japanese yen. Apple's product pricing in Japan shows an increase of 21,000 Japanese yen.

Additionally, in Australia, the latest iPhone 14 is priced at 1,399 Australian dollars. While its predecessor, the iPhone 13, was only priced at 1,349 Australian dollars. It showed a price difference of 50 Australian dollars.

Aside from the U.S., it is also giving a pass to China. Apple has maintained the same price for the iPhone in mainland China, which is one of the company's most important markets.

The iPhone 14 in China has a starting price of 5,999 Chinese yuan, which is close to the same here in the U.S. at $862.

Apple has accumulated a huge amount of revenue from the country, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China. In fact, China moved up to the third spot on Apple's list of the most lucrative regions for sales during the second quarter of this year.

As CNBC reports, it is speculated that the reason behind the different prices could be the strengthening of the dollar and the weakening of other currencies like the pound and the yen.
