A recent report suggests that the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1520 will have a bigger battery when compared to the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Rumors of the Nokia Lumia 1520 have been rampant in the recent weeks. Various hardware specifications and images of the phablet have emerged online and if rumors are to be believed, the Finnish company will launch the Lumia 1520 alongside the Nokia Sirius tablet at a yet-to-be-announced event on Sept. 26-27.
Samsung has already launched the Galaxy Note 3, which is unquestionably one of the most-anticipated Android phablets of this year. The latest Samsung offering is expected to hit shelves in late September and the device will pack in top-end features, including a 3,200mAh battery.
However, a recent report from WPCentral suggests the Nokia Lumia 1520 will have a 3,400mAh battery, which is bigger than that of any other Lumia device available in the market.
"Powering a fast CPU and a 6-inch 1080P display will certainly tax any phone and the Nokia Lumia 1520 is surely not an exception. We can now report that the Lumia 1520 will feature a massive 3400 mAh battery, offering 1,400 more mAh than current Lumias," reports WPCentral.
The Galaxy Note 2 has a 3,100mAh battery, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra features a 3,000mAh battery and the LG Optimus G Pro has a 3,140mAh battery. If this report proves to be true, the Lumia 1520 may have one of the best battery capacities in the phablet space.
Nokia has not announced its plans about the launch of the Lumia 1520; however, some rumors suggest that the company will take the wraps off the device soon enough.
"Nokia Lumia 1520: launches 9/26," reads a recent tweet from famous tipster @evleaks.
Similarly, a Pocket-Lint report also cites its own sources and reconfirms that the phablet will launch on Sept. 26.
Speculations suggest that the Lumia 1520 will tout a 6-inch 1080p display and a Snapdragon 800 processor will power the phablet. The upcoming device is also expected to have a 20-megapixel primary camera and 32GB of on-board storage space. The Lumia 1520 is also said to be exclusive to AT&T in the U.S.
