Today is the perfect day to indulge on all thing spooky and terrifying. If you happen to be looking for something to watch other than the usual horror movies, why not go for a horror anime instead!

"Angels of Death"
Unlike the other anime on this series, "Angels of Death" is not based on an original manga or comic. Instead, it is an adaptation of a video game released in 2015.
"Angels of Death" follows the story of Rachel "Ray" Gardner, a 13-year-old who wakes up in the basement of a building with no memories. She eventually encounters a serial killers who nearly murders her, but they somehow end up as partners as they try to escape getting killed themselves.

'Death Note'
"Death Note" is a 2006 horror anime that is 37 episodes long. If you think the episode count is pretty intimidating, each episode is actually only 22 minutes long.
The horror anime is about a high school student Light Yagami, who suddenly finds a black notebook called the "Death Note." Light eventually discovers that the person whose name is written in the notebook suddenly dies as long the one using it knows the person's name and face. Light uses it to kill high profile criminals, but it soon gets the better of him.

'Girl That Can See'
Based on the manga series "Meiruko-chan," "Girl That Can See" is a 12-episode anime. Each episode is only 23 minutes long, making it perfect for those who like anime that are not long and dragging.
"Girl That Can See" focuses on the story of the main character, Miko Yotsuya, a high school student who has the ability to see ghosts and spirits. While she does her best to ignore them and live the normal life of a teenager, they end up disturbing not just her but also those around her.

'Tokyo Ghoul'
A horror anime with fantasy elements to it, "Tokyo Ghoul" was released in 2018 and has 12 episodes. Each episode is around 23-24 minutes long.
This anime is set in a world infested by ghouls, which are basically creatures that masquerade as humans but actually eat human flesh. It follows the story of Ken Kaneki, who becomes a half-ghoul after a date gone wrong.

'Trese'
Many may argue that "Trese" is not exactly an anime, but more of an "anime-style" animated series. Still, it does not hurt to include it on this list.
Based on a comic series of the same name from the Philippines, "Trese" follows the adventures of Alexandra Trese, a private detective who focuses on supernatural crimes. Shay Mitchell provides the English voice for Alexandra Trese in the series as it can be watched with Filipino or Japanese audio.
Jon Jon Briones, Matt Yang King, Nicole Scherzinger, Manny Jacinto, Darren Criss, and Lou Diamond Phillips are some of the members of the English-language cast.
