As what we have already described, The Useless Web is a website that will lead you to another website and you will never know what you will find. Sometimes, there is something you can do on that other website. Sometimes, there is none.

The Useless Web itself is a very simple and straightforward website. The first thing you will see on the website are the words "Take me to another useless website, please." The word please is on a pink box with arrows on it, indicating that you should click the box in order to be brought to another website.

Examples of 'Useless' Websites The Useless Web Leads You To

For the purposes of this article, we clicked the pink box a handful of times to see which sites we will discover thanks to The Useless Web. Here are what we found:

90's Cursor Effects

If you liked having cursor effects years ago, then this website will be pretty nostalgic for you.

There is not much you can do on 90's Cursor Effects beyond moving your cursor around to see the effect. To change effects, simply click anywhere on the screen. We started with a rainbow effect that changed to an emoji effect when we clicked.

Checkbox Olympics

Checkbox Olympics is pretty much a browser game that will entertain you as much as it may annoy you. All you have to do is to tick the first checkbox at the beginning of the line and move on to the next.

You have to tick all the boxes until you get to the end of the line as fast as you can. Do take note that you have to click ready first and then wait for it to board to read go before you start.

The Floating QR Code

This website is pretty self-explanatory. You do not have to click anything or interact with anything. All that you can do on The Floating QR Code is watch a QR Code float around your screen and change colors every now and then.

And yes, we tried scanning the QR code. Nothing happened.

The Long Doge Challenge

A perfect website for when you are bored out of your mind but do not mind scrolling, The Long Doge Challenge will test just how long you can scroll.

What you have to do is to keep scrolling down so that the doge gets longer and longer. You collect a couple of "wow's" along the way and the website tallies just how many you collect until you get tired of scrolling.

One Square Minesweeper

Did you love playing Minesweeper as a kid? Well, you might want to check out the One Square Minesweeper.

Again, this website is very self-explanatory. You will find a Minesweeper game with just one square on it. Whether or not that square has a bomb is something we will let you figure out on your own.
