Apple releases iOS 7.0.2, second update, to fix more bugs

Apple has released an update to the iOS 7, bringing the software version to iOS 7.0.2, which fixes some bugs.

The company unveiled its latest mobile operating system, the iOS 7, at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on June 10, 2013. The latest iOS 7 started rolling out from Sept. 18 and has already reached millions of iDevices worldwide.

Apple claims that the latest iOS 7 brings in new features such as Control Center, AirDrop for iOS and enhanced multitasking experience. The company also indicates that iOS 7 makes the things you do every day even easier, faster, and more enjoyable. Even though some apps on the latest operating system look different, they feel familiar when you use them.

However, it's not even been two weeks since the release of the iOS 7 and the new operating system has already received two updates. Some users complained of certain problems with their devices after downloading the new OS and the latest software update is expected to address some known issues.

A screenshot taken by Mobile Syrup shows a device installing iOS 7.0.2 and suggests the update fixes a bug that allowed users to bypass the passcode unlock feature from the lock screen. The update also seems to bring back the Greek keyboard option for passcode entry. Following the software update you can improve the security of your iDevice. The download file weighs only 21MB.

Apple is also reportedly working on iOS 7.1 and may release the software update along with the launch of the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2 in October. However, the company has not yet confirmed its plans to launch either iOS 7.1 or the next-generations tablets so far.

The company released iOS 6 along with the iPhone 5 in Sept. 2012, but the operating system was surrounded with issues. Apple received severe criticism for its own mapping app that was introduced for the first time in iOS 6. The failure of Apple's mapping app also led the company to issue an official apology statement and advise customers to download an alternative mapping service.

The release of iOS 7 seems to have gone smoothly until now, with no major reported problems.

If you received thw iOS 7.0.2 software update on your iPhone or iPad, let us know if there are any issues.
