Amazon Studios recently announced it had secured global rights to all media for Warhammer 40K in the company's first deal of its kind for IP of this scale, per the Warhammer Community official website.

Amazon Warhammer 40K Rights Acquisition Details
Amazon said in its announcement it has secured rights to the Warhammer 40,000 universe intellectual property (IP) from Games Workshop to publish series, films, and more, while the latter company continues to make the best miniatures in the world.
Deadline reported that Amazon was likely able to secure the rights to publish/release Warhammer 40,000 games and animation. However, it is unclear if the two companies have already worked out the details of their partnership, with Warhammer 40,000 games and animation being potential projects.
The acquisition of these rights is the first deal Amazon got for its kind for IP of this scale, allowing the company to utilize the Warhammer 40,000 title across its entertainment businesses.
Interestingly, Henry Cavill, the actor that played Superman and Geralt of Rivia for Warner Bros.' "Man of Steel," "Justice League," and Netflix's "The Witcher," will star in and executively produce the franchise across all Amazon Studios productions.
Amazon's announcement comes after Games Workshop's announcement stating it reached an agreement in principle with the company.

Meanwhile, Andy Smillie, creative director of Games Workshop, said that the company is thrilled about working with "a fantastic triumvirate" in Cavill, Vertigo, and Amazon, especially with Cavill's love for the Warhammer 40,000 franchise and his passion as a world-builder and storyteller.
"Finally, Warhammer will make it to the screen as the fans have hoped, and as they deserve. Exciting Times!" Smillie said.
