For its first application update in 2023, Telegram updates to new features including message translation.
How It Works
According to Engadget, if a user speaks a default language that's different compared to the people communicating with her, the application will meddle. It will automatically reveal the translation bar at the top of the interface.
The user will just have to tap the message in real time. The chat will then be translated into English or whichever language the user is using.
Once done using the feature, the user just needs to tap the close translation bar to go back to the thread and continue typing as usual.
Premium subscribers also have access to this feature when talking with people and channels. Telegram channels are the avenue for public messages and large audiences. It can send messages and notifications directly to the public for every post. Channels are a tool for broadcasting your public messages to an unlimited number of subscribers.
With the new feature, Premium users will have the chance to join a channel available to the city they wanted to visit. This will enable them to visit the events and the stops that locals are delighted about. People who don't have Premium access today, don't have to worry about missing out on this.
Telegram has also recently introduced a new payment option. The new annual rate allows Premium users to save up to 40% of the regular price. This is if the user commits to a full year subscription to the application.

Aside from message translation, the application also introduces a handful of other features to its users.
Other New Features
The application also added a tool that turns stickers and emojis into displayed pictures or profiles. This is free to use and all consumers are entitled to have this. The profile picture changes can be done for one's self and to others. Users just have to set or suggest pictures to their contacts.
Telegram further creates an update in its emoji categories. This is to avoid confusing the stickers and emojis with one another. This way, users can also easily sort through and pick the emoticon that perfectly suits their current emotions. Not just this, but Telegram also added 10 new custom emoji packs. These are their latest versions of interactive emojis.
The application also makes an improvement on managing the users' footprint on their device. To do this, Telegram had to check and update its network usage tool. At the top of the screen, users can now see the information that the tool has to share in visuals. There are pie charts with separate tabs for mobile, WiFi and roaming usages. In addition to this, the app also sort of tweaked its automatic media download settings.
In the past year, Telegram also made its other tools more helpful to its users. This includes improving the communities and their discussions in groups, allowing multiple usernames, balancing the night mode, and increasing size texts.
The cloud-based instant messaging service continues to provide end-to-end messaging methods, encrypted video calling, and file sharing. Its features and updates are important for its increasing number of users.
To users who don't have access to the app's new updates yet, there is nothing to worry about. Engadget also leaves the public with the assurance that application releases also take a few days to roll out.
