Final Nokia Lumia 1520 specs leak ahead of Oct. 22 event

Nokia's first phablet, the Lumia 1520, has been leaking for months. The device's final specs have now just been leaked.

Nokia World begins on Oct. 22, which also happens to be the same day Apple announces its latest iPads. The Finnish company will finally offer its users a Windows Phone handset with a small tablet-sized screen. The Lumia 1520 will be going head to head with Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and the upcoming HTC One Max. The phablet's final specs have just leaked and Nokia is loading the 6-inch device up with some very impressive specs that are on par with flagship Android phablets.

As usual, evleaks is bringing us the latest news when it comes to the detailed specs of the Lumia 1520, as the tipster tweeted the phablet's final hardware. According to evleaks, the Nokia Lumia 1520 (codenamed Bandit) will reportedly have a 6-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD 1080P display. The smartphone will ship with Qualcomm's latest quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The Lumia 1520's 1080p 6-inch display and quad-core processor are now fully supported on Windows Phone, thanks to Microsoft's GDR3 update that just so happens to support those two hardware features.

The Lumia 1520 will supposedly be offered in two configurations - 16GB and 32GB of internal storage. Users will be able to increase the device's storage through its expansion slot that will support up to 32GB microSD cards. Its camera capabilities will include a high-end 20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss Optics (currently found on the Lumia 1020), optical image stabilization (OIS), as well as enhanced settings and imaging features. The tipster also confirms previous leaks that say the Lumia 1520 will include 2GB of RAM to provide a snappy user experience.

It also appears that the Lumia 150 will support wireless charging out of the box and should work with any Qi-compatible wireless charger. The smartphone will reportedly be offered in three color choices - black, white, and yellow.

Just as AT&T received the exclusive on Nokia's current flagship and 41-megapixel packing Lumia 1020, the carrier is also expected to get the exclusive on the Lumia 1520 as well. We'll bring you all the latest news from Nokia World when it kicks off on Oct. 22.
