The iPhone 14 lineup was released back on September 16th last year, so it could be exciting for some that Apple is launching a new color option for it. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in a tweet that the new color variation is "imminent."
New Color for the iPhone 14
There is a rumor circulating that Apple intends to make an addition to the already existing colors for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. It is said to be a Yellow finish, and although it has not been confirmed, Apple's PR team is already planning to introduce the color to reporters.
This is already a known marketing strategy for Apple, as they release new colors for iPhone models that have been out for a while. It's a way for the iPhone manufacturer to boost sales for their products, as mentioned by MacRumors.
Apple had the same strategy with the iPhone 13 last year on March 8th, when they released the color Alpine Green for iPhone 13 Pro. It's the same as iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini being available in Purple by April 2021. The iPhone 14 Yellow variation could launch by March 7th.
Since the iPhone 14 was released back on September 2022, it will be approximately six months should the release date be actually March 7th, which aligns with Apple's timeline of releasing new colors around the time that a product reaches mid-year after release.
The currently available colors for the iPhone 14 lineup are midnight, blue, purple, and red. Aside from the color change, Apple is not expected to add any other features on both hardware and software, just as it is with the previous models.
