With the company exploring AI-powered writing recommendations, LinkedIn is the most recent platform to join the generative AI bandwagon, Engadget writes.
AI Will Help LinkedIn Users Write Headlines And Summaries
With its owner Microsoft investing heavily in OpenAI, it appears that LinkedIn's front-end approach is also using it more and more.
With that the most recent developments concern LinkedIn profiles, hiring, and LinkedIn Learning, and how AI helps to improve them.
In order to assist individuals enhance their LinkedIn profiles and recruiters write job descriptions, the business is launching AI-powered writing suggestions today.
According to LinkedIn's chief product officer, Tomer Cohen, both are constructed using sophisticated GPT models.
It is notable that GPT-4 is the format used by LinkedIn for customized profiles, and GPT-3.5 is used for job descriptions.
In addition to this, the company is putting a greater emphasis on AI in LinkedIn Learning by gathering 100 courses on the topic and introducing 20 more that are solely dedicated to generative AI.
The AI-writing suggestions for profiles, which are initially only accessible to paying Premium customers, are meant to assist those who struggle to create captivating summaries of themselves.
"By doing the heavy lifting for you, the tool saves you time and energy while still maintaining your unique voice and style," the company details.
The job descriptions, on the other hand, will operate according to a similar premise that a recruiter writes out certain essential details, such as the job title and company name.
