Ignored by Bystanders

The surveillance footage showing the events after Lee was stabbed revealed how the former CTO of Square asked for help after the attack. He approached a parked white Camry on the sidewalk of 300 Main Street near the Bay Bridge on April 4th.

Bob Lee attempted to show the bystanders how severe his stab wounds were by lifting his shirt, but the footage showed that the people in the parked Camry simply drove away instead of helping the fatally wounded 43-year-old, according to Gizmodo.

Lee fell on the ground after the people in the vehicle refused to help and left, but got back up again and walked the street before collapsing again. It was then that the late tech executive called 911 for help at 2:35 a.m., to which the San Francisco police responded.

Help arrived in less than six minutes, and Bob Lee was found on the ground with two apparent stab wounds on his chest. He was rushed to the San Francisco General Hospital immediately, but Lee did not survive despite the efforts of the responders.

San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott expressed his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Lee. he added that there was no place for this kind of crime against anyone in the city and that investigators are working tirelessly to make an arrest.

The Aftermath

The incident is still under investigation, and law enforcement stated that it is still in its early stages. They refuse to comment on evidence due to that fact, and will not "speculate on the circumstances" regarding the violent crime that killed Bob Lee.

Police Chief Bill Scott assured people in San Fransisco that their department is staffed and ready to respond to all calls of service, and that they will commit the necessary resources and personnel to the investigation of the heinous crime, according to his statement.

Stevie Graham, the CEO of the banking API Teller, read the news about how Bob Lee was "frantically" asking people for help after he was stabbed and asked "what kind of monster" could do that to a person who is in that much need of help.

Jake Shields, former UFC and MMA fighter also expressed his disdain over the people who blamed Lee for being killed by walking at 2:30 am. He then pointed out that these were the same "losers" who would blame a girl who was defiled.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins stated that no one who commits a violent crime, or who's a repeat offender is receiving overly lenient plea deals, which may be in response to Twitter CEO Elon Musk saying that "if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately."
