Google Will Soon Add an Image Generator, Browser Chatbot

Google continues to work on its AI technology as it adds new generative AI features for Image Search and Chrome. The new additions will compete for the growing interest in Microsoft's Bing and its advancements in AI features.

Image Generation and Browser Chatbot

Google is already developing "GIFI," which can be used to generate AI images in the results for Google Images. The tech giant has already introduced the feature for its other products like Slides, where users can generate images to use for their presentations.

This would be useful for people to streamline their tasks since they wouldn't have to browse through the internet or slides for appropriate visual aids. They can search for photos, backgrounds, patterns, and illustrations, as shown in 9To5Google.

As for "Searchalong," users will be able to interact with a chatbot to make their searching experience easier and more informative. They can ask the chatbot questions while they are browsing the web for specific inquiries.

For instance, they can ask about the tourist sites near their hotel, and the AI would scan both the page and the internet for answers. They may also do so in an interactive manner as if they are speaking to a human assistant.

Google is also adding the "Tivoli Tutor," which aims to teach users a new language through open-ended AI text conversations. This can be useful for users who plan to travel or are in a different country that speaks a different language.

Another mentioned feature is one where users can search for music by speaking with a chatbot. There are still no details as to know that will work, or if it will be applied to YouTube Music or just a Google Search feature.

These additions show that Google is working double time to stay on top of the game, especially since Microsoft's Bing is gaining ahead with its AI capabilities, even catching the attention of Samsung to use as its default browser.

Google's AI-Powered Search Engine

While Google is working on AI features to add to its products and existing search engine, the company is also adding a new search engine to its list of AI-related projects. While it can be an exciting prospect, it might not be released soon.

Google has a lot on its plate and the new features might be prioritized over a whole new search engine. The project could also be a way for the tech giant to redeem itself after Bard. Although it's not exactly a failure, it did not get the reaction Google is hoping for.

With the company starting from scratch, it might be an entirely different experience with the new search engine. Instead of searching specific topics, users might be able to converse with the AI and it will provide more informative results that go beyond simple search results.

According to The New York Times, the upcoming search engine is able to learn what you want to know based on your search history. This means that your search results will be based on context, making it likely to show you what you're searching for immediately.
