Sprint LG G2 on sale for $0.01

You can now pick up the Sprint LG G2 for just one penny from Amazon when signing a new 2-year contract.

LG has put more focus on its smartphone lineup over the last year and has produced some very popular handsets, not only for itself, but also for Google. The company was chosen by Google to build last year's flagship Nexus 4 and the smartphone was such a huge hit that Google asked LG to build its new flagship Nexus 5 as well.

LG's latest smartphones highlight the company's continued focus on becoming a major player in the smartphone world. It recently launched its first smartphone with a curved flexible display that can also heal itself from scratches on its rear case. The LG G Flex should be making its way to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint in the near future, as its FCC certification was recently published.

The company's current flagship handset, the LG G2, is one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. It packs in a large 5.2-inch display and a fast 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. LG's U.S. carrier partners are also very impressed with the G2, as all four major operators are selling the smartphone (something pretty rare). Sprint is currently charging $99.99 for the LG G2 when signing a new 2-year contract, but Amazon is undercutting the carrier and is now offering the Sprint LG G2 for just $0.01.

The LG G2 features a gorgeous 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD IPS edge-to-edge display. While a 5.2-inch display falls into large smartphone territory, LG designed it so that it can be used one-handed and the company claims it's the largest display on the market to have this feature. It also added another unique touch, placing the power and volume buttons on the back of the smartphone instead of its sides because the company conducted research and found that's where you fingers are naturally located when holding the device, which makes one-handed operation even easier.

The handset uses the 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. It ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with some LG exclusive software and enhancements. You'll also find a high-end 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. In terms of wireless connectivity options, you'll find a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and GPS. The LG G2 has 32GB of internal storage and packs in a large 3,000 mAh battery.

You can purchase the Sprint LG G2 from Amazon for $0.01 when signing a new 2-year contract and the retailer is including free two-day shipping with the order.
