Roblox saw a meteoric rise in popularity when it was launched. People of all ages came to the platform to participate in games along with other online players. Now, users might be able to have a more immersive experience as Roblox comes to Meta's VR headset.
Roblox in Meta Quest
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that a beta version of the app will soon launch in a few weeks, allowing players to access Roblox through the virtual reality space. It will be published in the Quest platform's App Lab. However, it is only compatible with Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets.
Meta's Quest 3 is also likely to get the beta version soon enough, seeing as it is the company's latest VR headset release. Being a cross-platform title, the features and content that are available in mobile, console, or PC, can also be accessed in VR, as mentioned in Engadget.
It's also a good way for Meta to boost user numbers of its VR headset, especially since Roblox already has an established user base of 66 million daily. In fact, Roblox is already encouraging game creators to make VR content through the Creator Dashboard.
They can do so by clicking on "VR" when selecting device types on the access page. The option will be available in the next few days. Developers could publish existing experiences to support VR without much effort.
user s will not have that much trouble with the change as well as Roblox developers have updated the platform so the experiences use the default script which includes VR devices. Games that are compatible with Meta headsets will have "VR" checked in Studio and the Dashboard.
While the Meta Quest headsets can now be used by children ten years and above, the Roblox app will not follow the same rules. Players will still need to be 13 years old and above to play the games, especially with certain unfiltered content that sometimes appears.
So far, Roblox already has 15 million games in its library, as well as worlds and social spaces. Its availability in Meta Quest will only add to its extensive list of titles, even more so as creators make new games that fit well with a VR experience.

Popular Roblox Games
While it's still not clear if the most popular games on the platform will get their own VR-compatible version, the experience will surely be something that players will be excited about, especially for certain titles.
For instance, the top played game in Roblox is Adopt Me!, with over 32 million all-time visits, as mentioned in Statista. The most popular horror game within the platform as well, Piggy, would provide a more realistic experience when played in VR mode.
In other games like Brookhaven, where players hang out with other players online in a game of role-playing, can experience the world in a different light as virtual reality allows them to become the character in a convincing way, allowing for a more immersive experience.
