Microsoft unveiled that its AI-powered service, 365 Copilot, will be priced at $30 per user, monthly.
The pricing is for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premiums customers.
Report from The Verge showed the huge increase in expenditure on top of the existing Microsoft 365 plans, with a price of $36 per user per month. This means that it will double or triple the cost for the businesses depending on their current subscription.
Introducing Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft initially introduced its AI-powered office assistant, 365 Copilot last March.
Since May, around 600 enterprise customers was able to test Copilot with a paid early access program.
Copilot is embedded on Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, and more, making working more efficient with just a prompt of command.
According to Microsoft here are the built-in advantages of using Copilot:
- Copilot inherits your existing Microsoft 365 security, privacy, identity and compliance policies.
- Your data is logically isolated and protected within your Microsoft 365 tenant, and always within your control.
- At the tenant level, Copilot respects individual and group permission policies.
"Copilot is a whole new way of working," Microsoft 365 head Jared Spataro shared.
