Reddit officially launched its fourth series of Collectible Avatars, a year after its initial release.
Data showed that Reddit has already accumulated more than 18 million NFTs with around $55 million market cap on Polygon.
"As our biggest drop to date, you'll notice a lot of familiar faces as well as some new ones popping up in the Shop, but please make sure to take a look around because all are equally awesome," Reddit announced in a post.
Collectible Avatars are NFTs launched by Reddit to support its artists, with arts designed by various Reddit account.
Reddit's Collectible Avatars Gen 4
Reddit has continuously trying to improve their NFT market by updating their housekeeping rules.
"We learned a few things from the last drop, so we are launching GEN 4 with a few things that will impact your Shop experience," Reddit shared.
According to Reddit, buyers will be asked a lot of CAPTCHA for all the shop purchases. The company also reminded to update the app first.
In addition, Reddit also implemented an initial access and restrictions on the number of Collectibles that can be purchase at a time.
"During initial access and for those whose account meets the minimum age requirement, collectors will be able to purchase up to $1,000 USD with a 1 purchase per Collectible Avatar limit (you can still buy multiple others!)," the post added.
Moreover, Reddit optimized searching within its shop on the mobile app, as well as, featuring products through stories on iOS.
Reddit Retro Reimagined NFTs
With the Gen 4 series called Retro Reimagined, Reddit partnered with some brands for its launch.
The cat-centric Web3 brand Cool Cats is now available, which features works from Micah Johnson, Nyan cat creator Chris Torres, Proof Collective design penguitt, Reddit avatar illustrators Jas and Petio, and of course, Cool Cats co-founder Clon.
As of writing there are more than 14 million Collectible Avatar holders.
The prices for these NFT ranges from $2.49 to $199.99 a piece.
